I see. The mistake I made was to allow him to make a copy of the ID at the spot. I should have brought a copy. I really do not regret it though. I am working at a restaurant. Through tips and pay, I have been able to work my way through college. So, things happened for a reason.

I forgot to mention something. When he saw something was awkward with my "Resident Alien ID," he immediately compared it to a valid one, told me mine was fake, and told me to scram.

Thank you so much for the information though. I will pass this along to all of my family members, so they do not freak out so much when applying for a job.
If you were really using a fake ID then you should stop bitching and be glad you didn't get arrested.

Your story is very similar to mine, back when I use to work for Hollister and they started to use that unholy E-verify bullshit. After two years of working there I was called in to present more information about my situation, I just left my job on the spot and never came back. Oh well, life goes on.

May God bless you. Let me ask you this: at one moment did I ever disrespect you?

In terms of presenting fake documents, please understand that there are many others like me. How will I pay for school? clothing? food? rent? I did what I had to do. And if my actions offend you, please tell me how I can provide for myself and my family without offending you.

The same thing happened to my mom. You are right; life goes on.

In these cases, losing your job hurts. But like I said, things happen for a reason. My mom worked at Ross, and her managers treated her horribly. So, ultimately losing that job was awesome for her. She did not have to deal with jerks anymore.

At a car wash . . . wow. I am going back to that place the day that I am legal, and I am going to make that guy spit-shine the 20 inch rims on my Bentley.

Really? I think it's because you don't want to return the name tag.
