You can do what you mentioned, but yes Marriage is the only option.

You would definitely need someone to file the Affidavit of Support.

She could return home while you are going through the process, you could either use Consular Processing (which means you would live with her for 6 months to a year in Argentina) or an adjustment of status. If you do the green card process here, it would likely take longer. Or it could be cool to spend some time in Argentina, from what I have been told by everyone here, it is the 1st or 2nd most advanced Latin American country. It might be a good experience.

Or, she could go back and you could do the Fiance Visa...or a Student Visa. A Student Visa would give you lots of extra time to decide if you really want to get married. There are also J-1 and other temporary visas available.

Yes you can theoretically get divorced, but at the same time they could declare your marriage fraudulant and you could both be in big trouble with the Federal Government.

All you would need is a Co-Sponsor for the affidavit of support, if they live in the same household its a different affidavit of support than if they don't though. You will still need to fill out an affidavit of support as well as the co-sponsor.

I would try going to immigrate2us.net for your other questions, there are a lot of people on that forum who have immigration knowledge. From there go to there Marriage Based AOS forum and post your questions. Good luck!
