The thing is this isn't the only poll showing republican voters favoring a compromise. there are other pollsters showing the same results. Even some left leaning pollsters.

Man, I'm not the type to usually say this but this is some Illuminati sh*t going on. I don't see anything that could possibly have shifted people's minds in such a significant way.

it's becoming a bigger issue than either party intended to be, in my opinion. With GA, AL and AZ passing their own laws, even the white folks are starting to to take notice. But also take into consideration the religious aspect of it all. Christianity is deeply ingrained in Iowa. And even though there are MANY who are complete hypocrites (ie Bachmann), there are VERY many others who do want to help. Take for example the deeply red Utah. Even they let undocumented people drive there.
