@DA User,

It's not that you have to "wait" 30 days to apply, its more that you have to provide 2 proof's of residency in NM. Normally this takes 30 days to get, due to the nature of billing cycle, etc. Plus you have to complete their alcohol program if you are under 25. I had to make a library card in order to rent their movie so I can go through the alcohol program.

It's a bit of a process, if you are going to do it, you might as well do it the right way, and plan to stay there for 2-3 months.

Can you do it from mailing only from out of state? So what if you have a valid DL and/or ID from out of state and SSN?

No..... you have to do everything in person......I am 100% positive of that.

Doesn't matter if you have a valid DL out of state, its still the same process. If you have a SSN you still have to present 2 proofs of residency. Check out the website for the MVD of NM, its all there....

The reason I didn't try NM was because I didn't know anyone there. NM seems abit more straightforward but from what everyone post it seems to take a very very long time.

You can get statements in the mail by clicking on the paper option. You can also get certain secured credit cards with the ITIN.
Hi everybody, I was wondering if I can get driver license in WA without proof of residency, but I have my ssn and documents for proof of identity. Could somebody answer this? Thans in advance

No, every state will require proof of state residency. If that wasn't the case, you would have seen all the illegals going to WA and NM.

No, the bills have to be in your name. Most likely you will spend some time there until you receive that correspondence with your name.

You are welcome. Did you apply for DACA?
