What is all that "economic necessity for the job"? That's getting me a bit nervous. So it looks like not all of us will be getting work permits. Those of you without needed-degrees such as a STEM degree stand much of a lower chance. But then again....they haven't released much details yet.

I also hopes it applies to students still in high school.

I think the economic necessity refers to your own necessity to have an income (ie. you need the dosh).

As long as you have the approved paperwork for Deferred action USCIS usually approves EADs.

No, the 60 days mentioned is the time frame given by DHS for them to formulate a application and more details into this policy.

It could be 60 days, it could be shorter. Hopefully the latter.

Apparently, USCIS has to set up the whole process and all that, and being a part of the government they like to take their time. On the other hand Dream Act gave USCIS 6 months to set up all the processes.

Hmm.. I see..
I have a appointment this monday with a new immigration lawyer.. This appointment was made a week ago, so its not for this reason.

I feel Numb. As if, i wont feel the excitement until I have my driver's license on my hand. Hahah
But of course im very happy and thankful.
