Exactly, is kinda embarrassing to show your passport, sometimes I just avoid completely going out with my friends or classmates from college. My past relationship was screwed because of this "situation", but now hopefully things would change!

I was never much of a club guy so I never looked to get laid from those places. You guys might enjoy it so I could see why you'd suffer, but if you aren't into it, I say look elsewhere.

Once I started using a holder, no one questions why I am using a passport. As long as you put it in the holder so that it opens up to the picture and the bouncer doesn't have to leaf through the pages to get to the id part.

You guys don't need to go clubbing and drinking to be "normal." If anything, you're just trying to be those drunk morons.

And I hate when the person checking ID then makes a comment, "oh you are from x country?" only drawing more attention to the fact you have a passport. Though I still go out; I've gotten over the embarrassment of showing my passport over the years to go to bars.

Sorry to burst your bubble there, but if one decides to have a drink, or to go to a club for social events, like a friend's birthday that doesn't mean that we are "drunk morons". Besides, nobody says that we want to go out to be normal, in fact, I go out once in a blue moon, but I'm not going to stay at home my whole damn life.

^ So you're saying that clubs and drinking are the only options when you've decided not at stay at home. Clubs are fine, but drinking is what bothers me.

Well if you drink to get wasted then yeah I understand, but I'm talking about going to have a couple of drinks with some friends. Even when I was at school one of my professors would go have a drink with us...

Rev where have you lived? What is the night life about? Going out to a bar sitting enjoying yourself. Your the only thinking of drinking = getting hammered and not remembering the night hmm maybe your the one with the problem? Drinking is for everybody with some limitations. Going out to a bar having 2 or 3 beers doesn't hurt.

Well, I live about 20 miles from Philadelphia and haven't really experienced any night life. You see, my Asian parents think that going out to clubs at night time with friends is very bad. They think that casinos, once in a while, are fine and that's about it. But I'm thinking about going to a club with some friends and see these things for myself (not right now though). Might i also mention that my family is very strongly against drinking alcohol or smoking. I would basically be a dishonor/disgrace if I was ever caught doing that stuff.
