Same here, it looks like it's going to be somewhere in September for me. Getting my passport and all that good stuff have made me really hate waiting in line :/

I WOULD NOT recommend that anyone go in for their Biometrics on any day other than YOUR APPOINTMENT DATE. There is a system of doing things and going BEFORE your appointment date is honestly not a good idea.

If you need to reschedule, then FOLLOW the USCIS INSTRUCTIONS on rescheduling a Biometrics appointment, DO NOT just walk into the center.

Please guys, play by the rules and follow instructions.

LOL

All I-485 Applicants do this. CHILL OUT!

But you should follow 'Dream becomes Reality' advise so you're not in my way when I go in early!! LOL

haha I would like to do that but it's about a 45 minute drive and I can't really afford the gas to gamble on an earlier appointment

'All I-485 Applicants do this?' That is an UNTRUE statement. When my parents got their Green Cards years ago, they WAITED for their Biometrics appointment date, they only went when scheduled, so get your facts right!

Why would the USCIS schedule appointment dates if they intended it to be a free for all/ anything goes situation.

At the end of the day, do what you want to do, it's just sound advice to follow the rules and system in place, that's all.

Use Google and Search Walk In Biometrics.
And everyone else but your parents comes up as a I-485 doing their biometrics early.

I understand that there is a process and a system they come up with, but this is just an intake step, a collection of information, is like waiting untilt hat day to send a letter, you have everything ready, but you can't postmark it until then??? Well I won't wait, I'll mail my letter early.
I don't think it makes my chances of getting approved higher or making the case go faster, but its a personal choice to have it taken care of earlier.

The worstt that can happen your ASC does not allow for Walk In's and you have to wait. Big Deal.
