Okay so deferred action means we wont get deported and the work permit is separate right? Well what if we don't plan on working but want the ssn to use for other things? Credit card, loans, proper ID. I am lucky enough to currently have my boyfriend pay all my expenses and would likely use the EAD only for required internships for college credit. The main reason I applied was to come out of the shadows and be less afraid about deportation not as concerned about money at least for the time being. I hope ((if I get approved for everything)) then I will be able to renew my EAD despite not using it for work. All that being said, I like the option of being able to work ((In case of emergency))and technically my parents/boyfriend are paying for most of everything but I want citizenship more than anything and not worry about being DEPORTED. I did ask my lawyer this and she said I could still apply for an EAD |
