"For foreign workers in H-1B, E-3 or TN work visa status, your I-94 Card is your work authorization, and you can work while your SSN is "pending." There is no federal law administered by any federal agency which prohibits the hiring or paying an individual because you do not have a social security number."

Replace "I-94" with "EAD."

Again: "There is no federal law administered by any federal agency which prohibits the hiring or paying an individual because you do not have a social security number."

On paper yes you're right.

But in REALITY not having a SSN will not guarantee that job.

Yea. I agree with you here. I don't see how I could even be everified without a number. How will they put me on payroll. ? In theory, it is possible to travel faster than the speed of light. In reality, it is not. I guess that applies here.

In reality, what you're saying is called document abuse, and companies participating in document abuse get heavily fined.

EVerify checks your EAD, and if you have a social, it will check your social. But your EAD is the primary verification tool.
