Where were you on Friday June 15, 2012? - Page 2

I was at my aunt's house in Brooklyn browsing the net. My CNN app sent me a breaking news notification about Deferred Action, and I immediately started to browse th net. Saw the official AP announcement before the White House and DHS said anything.
I immediately called my mom and she was in disbelief, she cried a bit, since she's always felt guilty about bringing me here undocumented. I called my sis, and she was hesitant, but started to cry as well.
My mom then called me back when DHS officially announced and then when Obama gave the official speech. My family were all ecstacic, since its just my sister and I who are undocumented. Emotional day.

I was at work slaving hard and my phone vibrated and I saw CNN breaking news, I thought it was a misreporting at first ( CNN has a record of breaking news before all the information is in) but then I started working the phone and realize this was real shit.

I was on my way to work 7am here in cali and i heard the news thru a local radio station. I couldn't believe it so i got tp work, turned on the tv on the lunch room not giving a fk about my boss and watched the whole thing later that day i went to a Dodger game and hit a bar after that where i found a few dreamers celebrating. My ex broke up with me that day so it was an awesome/sad day for me.

I was at home.
I think I just woke up and checked my email, and my undocumented friend sent me the link.
I also saw it on the Yahoo front page. Later, I saw Obama's speech.

i was at work and my brother-in-law txt me and said i need to watch CNN because the president is talking about something important about us young people. He usually gets excited over any small piece of information, so I blew it off, thinking 'yea, right'. then i logged on to DAP and checked other news sources, and i sat at my desk a bit confused. i couldn't laugh, i couldn't cry. i just sat there. i dunno....i always thought i would cry or scream at the top of my lungs when something like this happened but i just couldn't gather up any emotion other than shock.

it was one of my favorite days so far

this is how I felt about it

I was at work and my boss called me and said "son you will be legal soon" I was like huh??? you ok sir?

I was sleeping and my aunt called me because her husband told her that his manager said they stopped the deportation for young undocumented students. I did not believe her at first because an hour or 2 before she called i was on CNN and there was no news. Then i checked it, BOOM!!!

I was so relieved.

I was at an interview and my friend texted me!
Being at the interview made it easy to prove my presence on that day. !

I was at work!! I'm subscribe to NY times on my iPhone and I received breaking news updates and that morning this came out "U.S will give immunity to some young illegal immigrants, AP says" I'm thinking what is this about?? , so I clicked on it I read it, I said this is too good to be true! I called my mother and she couldn't believe it! And that same day asked to watch the be on tv and the president gave a speech that same day around noon pacific time! It was confirmed this is legit omg we made it!!
