Keep Calm and Carry on I always say. Relax, put EWI..if he doesn't have an I-94 or a VISA he Entered Without Inspection, they don't expect us to remember everything in detail. In this situation I would most absolutely put EWI and not worry about a thing. So many of us including myself put EWI and we have already been approved. No biggie.

I agree if there is absolutely no proof then just put ewi. I entered at the border legally somehow and I put ewi because I cannot prove it.

Also I heard records of minors are deleted
