My timeline is found on my signature. I'm one of the few that has been bent over and fucked by this process but at least my 90 days are approaching. Btw MadMan, does it say temporary on the NV license/permit?

Handbook to study for the permit test: www.dmvnv.com/pdfforms/dlbook.pdf

Also, practice, practice, practice, for the drivers test! Be sure to learn how to parallel park.
So after I receive my social security number, I go back to the DMV to update my information? Do I get a printout, or should I wait for the actual document?

Also, I'm probably going to the Sahara DMV. What route did they take you on for your driver's test?

I would also like to know about this, as well.

Thanks for your help madman. I went to the DMV on Friday and was able to get my permit without a problem even though I don't have my social yet. I went to the Decatur DMV and they were really nice. The lady even offered to schedule my driving test and didn't mention anything about needing my actual social by then. I should have it by then anyway in case they ask but she just didn't mention it at all.

Can you answer my question that I asked MadMan, please? (Refer to the post above)

Well I haven't received the actual permit in the mail yet. It's supposed to take 2 weeks to arrive according to the lady at the DMV? They just give you a piece of paper as your permit but it doesn't say temporary anywhere on the paper. I'll let you know once the actual plastic card arrives.

Ask the SSA office for a printout. And then update the the DMV. I would just wait for the SSN card to arrive. It arrives super fast.

My Route on the Sahara Drivers Test: They take you towards the parking lot facing McLeod St. The first step is inspecting the car, to see if it is ready for use. Always be sure to scan, scan, scan, and use your turn signal. Follow the speed limit and adjust for signs. Be prepared to yield to everyone. Anywho, they took me to the parking lot facing McLeod St and you have to parallel park. After succeeding, you go right on McLeod St to the major road Sahara. Turn right on Sahara. The instructor told me to stay on Sahara until Atlantic St. Turn right on Atlantic. Stay on Atlantic until you approach St. Louis Ave. There is a stop sign on St. Louis so perform a full stop. My instructor told me to turn left on St. Louis and stay on it until a right on Eastern. Turn right on Eastern and stay on it until another right, Oakey Blvd.Turn right into Oakey. Now I was driving through residential areas (max speed limit: 25). Continue on Oakey and turn right on Atlantic. Stay on Atlantic until you reach St. Louis again. Perform a full stop at the stop sign and then turn left on St. Louis. Stay on St. Louis and turn right on McLeod. Stay on McLeod and turn right into the DMV. And there you have it. Always follow the speed limit, scan your mirrors, and turn your head over your shoulder when turning the car into another lane. Always yield to pedestrians, and follow the signal lights.

That was my experience. It may or may not change depending on the instructors.

I knew it. The associates at the Decatur DMV are really nice.

They are especially lenient on the drivers test I hear.

Congratulations on getting your permit!

Yes, after you pass the written test, they issue you a interim permit (paper). The plastic permit card will arrive within two weeks. The permit and the license (interim or plastic) DO NOT have temporary written anywhere on them.

Wow.. finally a Nevada thread. I'm not from Vegas, I live in Northern Nevada. Did my Biometrics on 9/28. Hopefully I get approved soon. Good luck to all fellow Nevadans!
