If you are still looking for an attorney THIS is who I went with. They charged my brother and I $750 each for their services after a "discount" because we went together.

One of the receptionists told me as long as you have the money for the DACA fees they will send out your application and put you on a payment plan for their lawyer fees if you can not afford to pay for it all upfront.

Good luck,

$750 each
why would you recommend someone taking advantage of people with extremely high fees.

I'm in Garden Grove, did all the paperwork myself and got approved in less than a month!
First I went to a legal help service thing and they gave me false information. The application is not that hard. Super easy stuff. As long as u don't have any criminal stuff in your past you're good to go. I can help you if you'd like. Save yourself the money. Oh, you don't have to pay anybody to get your birth certificate translated, I did my own. Safe yourself the money and set it aside to celebrate once you get approved.

WOW you call that high (let me know where you went) took me a good month asking around to find someone that cheap, everyone near me was charging twice that amount...

PS- I filled out all of it by myself but my parents did not feel confortable with me just sending it out, they insisted I find a lawyer. In the end its his/her decision she just asked as question and I gave her my opinion.

When you see the actual work involved, it takes an hour or two to organize all the documents and fill them out. Is $750 for that little amount of work justified? No. Does it get your app processed faster? No. Is it possible the lawyer missed something? Yes.

If you do it yourself, you can look it over two, three times, and make sure everything is perfect before sending the app. Lawyers don't really do the work, their paralegals do everything.

I applied through the Asian Pacific American Legal Center. They help me put together and send in my whole application for FREE! http://www.apalc.org/ please contact them. John Lopez helped me with my application. But you should be assigned to an advocate. Again no cost! I was approved today.

c: Thank you everyone for taking the time to respond. I understand that a lot of people have successfully applied without a lawyer - but I would feel more comfortable applying with one. Money isn't really an issue right now, so I'd just like to go with someone who has experience and has handled cases like these before. I appreciate your response especially wrayray - that's precisely the situation i'm in. My family would just be more comfortable having a lawyer oversee the process and $750 is a very reasonable quote.

I went with them first and they told me I couldn't apply since I have been using a fake SS# and since I had done credit with it that I was putting myself at risk -_- FAKE INFORMATION! I'm hoping they didn't scare anybody off like they did with me.
