Lol I love daewoo's. My friend had one. It went through a lot! Unfortunately something happened that he had to get a new car. But congrats on the internship and university job!!

I haven't applied anywhere cause I'm still waiting on my ssn so I can get my id. But I'm glad there are people who have gotten jobs out there already! Especially at target. I'll be applying there soon enough

Guys, i want to apply at Macy's online but i am worried about entering my new SSN on their website, should i apply physically at the store?

I applied at Macy's on the website. If you go to the store, the HR section has a computer you can use. They do not have paper application. Macy's gave me my first ever interview. I almost got hired but I had issues with the schedule that they wanted me to work in the specific department. A week and a half later they wanted to offer me a position in another department but I already had started a job so I had to decline their offer.

Save time and apply online.

I'm just wondering if you guys used your EAD for the i9 or a Driver's License + SSN card

My job is funny, I make close to 6 figures and yet I'm like the only that is not driving and I have to make up stupid excuses for not doing things after work. I'm just waiting for my driving test.

On another note, does anyone know how to get a phone plan without a state id? amazon wireless requires a state id # for phone plans :/ is that standard? I really need a phone with data, like right now lol

I just got hired. I gave them my CA DL and SSN and the guy was all confused why it said I needed to show authorization, "From INS!???" he was a nub. I showed them my EAD and everyone at HR was happy.

My car has been registered, I got it with 7 miles in Feb.

Friend was hired at Intel as a semiconductor technician. He still asks me for rides.
He applied earlier than me and Intel is where I will be applying ad well.

I hope I can get approved by the end of this month so I can quickly land a holiday job as I search for a better one.

I started at my job on Monday. So far im exhausted (finishing laundry right now). I work for an institution in a medical center so at orientation i was asked to provide with EAD card, Ssn, Dl, etc also something to base my work permit like a student visa type. I took my DACA letter and the International Services lady was so confused cause they had to assign me under a visa type or pending green card. Long story short an advisor talked to me later in the day and told me they were very excited to have a DACA employee and that they decided my status would be "non-immigrant" under visa type "deferred action" falling under a special category of refugee/asylee for their purposes. Oof! Anyway, i dont have a car yet i take the bus to work and it will be a ouple months before i can get my finances straight.
