People spend more than they actually get. This guy went in the store and bought 20 $10 dollar scratchers...he didn't get crap. All he got was a few more scratchers

I've also heard one ridiculous claim..If a foreigner wins the prize, he/she is offered immediate legal residency in the United States due to tax implications. I'm really not sure how much truth is in that claim but very interesting indeed. Also, once you win the ticket and sign the back, nobody can claim that prize but you. If you win and I get a hold of your ticket and sign it, its mine.
I think if you're a foreigner the IRS will automatically take 30%. If you win $425 million, the 70% they left you would still be enough to cover your bills, and then some. I don't think they have any legal standing to take back all the government benefits that you received, because you were entitled to them before you win it. Only congress can give you green card, unless you qualify under current law.

Lottery tickets should be treated like cash. If you lose it, you lose it.

enjoy
Yeah, but I regularly spend $20 on movie ticket and popcorn for 2 hours worth of entertainment. When I got me a powerball ticket, I get to dream about what I'm gonna do with $425 million for a couple of days. For $2 a pop, that's cheap entertainment.
