So if he had an F2A filed, his parents can become USCs then he gets to go from F2A to unlimited and instant. He would still need a 245i if this was filed between when he was 18-21. However, if this was the case the OP would be being summoned right basically right now irregardless if they became citizens so I'm guessing he's not and he is indeed out of luck.

You mean F2A to IR-2? You still wouldn't be able to make the transition.

Yes an IR-2 or IR-7. So if the parents turned USC after the child is 21 they could not classify for that category even if the petition I-130 was done before the person turned 21?

Anyway, we should probably wait for the OP to come in here to provide more info on his situation. Looking bleak from every update on how CSPA works in this thread.

I'm in the same situation. Mom got LPR when I was 16, filed an I-130 for me, then she became a USC after I turned 21. We've been to lawyers and I've heard this sad song before. There's just no way to adjust (unless you had the i245, I suppose, but I don't know any details about that).
