I am checking my options about study abroad for this summer. This way I'll be able to travel and see family overseas.
Definitely looking into getting AP.. unless some sort CIR comes before this summer.

I want to study abroad as well but none of my family members have PR or citizenship and idk how that affects chances of return...
I doubt CIR will happen before this summer.
Plus AP will have a couple of months to process.

I think some people are misinterpreting the requirements stated by OP. I don't think having USC kids makes you eligible to travel overseas under AP as the rules are stated. There may be variations to the rules but this is my understanding. Regardless, I will not be traveling without permanent residency.

I would love to go back to my home country but I have no reasons required by AP to request one

I suppose it's a good thing that none of my relatives are gravely ill, but I'd be great if I could travel, at least for employment services but I doubt I can get that good of a job :/
