I plan to be perfectly honest with USCIS and tell them I just want to see them before they pass away and I haven't been back for 15 years. Do you guys think it's a good idea ? or should I not even attempt to apply?
If you have $360 to spare go for it, the worst they could say is no.

I have a question, in a hypothetical perspective. Lets say that, if immigration reform doesn't happen in the next 2-3 years and we don't get granted residency or citizenship, but we still have our EADs, I want to go to the Philippines. But instead I apply for AP to Mexico, where I am a citizen (and a passport holder) and I get approved.

Can I travel internationally from Mexico to whichever country, then travel back to Mexico, then get back into the US through the border by Advanced Parole?

I might be ignorant of a lot of things, such as the role that visas from other countries have. But with my Mexican passport, wouldn't I be able to travel anywhere from Mexico without a visa?

Not sure dude. But advance parole is only granted under 3 circumstances.
1. Humanitarian-Someone is dying or really sick.
2. Work related-your employers is sending you somewhere. But now sure how your employer would react to having to provide those documents when you only have a 2 year work permit.
3. Education related-A study abroad type of situation.

There many countries where you don't need a visa on your Mexican passport, I'm sure Philippines is one of them but I'm too lazy to look it up lol

I'm just saying, that travelling to other countries with a passport would be so much easier than travelling with AP. I would return to the US through Mexico with AP. I have a bunch of relatives I haven't seen in 15+ years that are in the brink of dying, I'm sure I can get AP.

I mean that is a good question... If I get AP and go back to my country, can I then from my country go and travel to other places and then come back to the US using AP?

If you leave from your country to somewhere else, tell me how will they know you went to another country. It's not like the government of the United States is tracking your every step. Sure they might check the stamps on your passport but they don't have a GPS on you.

Just make sure that what you are doing is not in the brink of fraud. They do request doctors notes of dying relatives before they grant you AP. It is also for a certain period of time. They also don't determine if AP is fully granted until you enter the US. It is up to CBP's discretion.

Any speculation on when the guidelines for DACA will be released? I really want to apply for AP but I'm waiting to see if something changes, I'm assuming they are going to loosen the requirements for DACA.

This is a pretty good question I do wonder if that is possible but a the same time it looks to good to be possible.
