There ARE worse places than Texas for immigrants - Arizona, Alabama, Indiana, etc. ,but Texas is no friend to us. Don't forget Texas took drivers' license away from those who already had them for years. Do you remember Farmer's Branch in Dallas passing an ordinance to check citizenship papers at apartments? Do you remember Rick Perry running anti-immigration ads when he ran against Bill White? What's sad is that there are many immigrants here who still vote Republican and those who don't have been gerrymandered into an oblivion.

Oh yeah, "don't mess with Texas" is an old anti-littering slogan from the 80's. They used to have commercials on TV all the time...
