Hi all,

I am a nurse, and an advocate for Nurse Dreamers. I hope you have all long since become RNs; but for those still waiting, I encourage you to complete at least two-hundred-fifty (250) practice questions per week while your waiting (That's 50/day x 5 days with 2 days off). If your school uses a tutorial program (such as ATI) you should have access until you pass NCLEX. Use it! If you use a prep-book, be sure to get one published after 2014, and preferably one that has rationale for both correct and incorrect responses. It is very important that you understand why the right answers are right, and the incorrect answers are wrong. Also, talk to your nursing faculty. They may encourage you to audit/ sit in on classes, so you can keep the information fresh. (You'll be surprised what you retain when you can just listen without the pressure of exams.) Then, when you get the green light for DACA, try to test in a state that allows licensure for DACA recipients ( I think New York & California do, but double check to be sure). Once you get your license, you should qualify for a social security number. Then, you can seek reciprocity in your home state.

Blessings!

I agree!! Anyone waiting to take the NCLEX, do a lot of questions everyday. Also, take the test as soon as you are able to. Don't say "Oh I'll schedule the test in one month or two months". Take it while everything is still fresh in your mind.

I agree with everyone who says to do questions every day! To those who need a little refresher you can always try Hurst because she goes over certain things with explanations. And UWorld is the most amazing test bank question site I used before taking my NCLEX. It's important to note that when doing UWorld, don't worry about how well you scored but focus on the questions and rationales. I personally had to do ATI (which I hated) and went through Hurst and UWorld. I wish all of you the best of luck!!!

I have a question, currently I am a pre-nursing student. Nursing has always been something that I have always wanted to do and although the classes are not easy I am still excited and all the more energized that I'm halfway there. Now to my question, I was wondering if anybody knew of anyone DACA recipient who was able to get a green card through being sponsored by the hospital they worked in?
