I just realized that the agency that runs the background checks also sent the same email to the store manager should I contact him? I feel a little weird since they said they'd call us.
Also, I called one more time and told the agency that perhaps that happened because my SSN was issued recently and they told me that's probably the reason why it was showing up as invalid and that my bc was being processed.

Just wanted to update that I got the job.
I didn't even have to fax them a copy of my ssn/ead. When I called yesterday they asked me if I had ever used other names and then I quickly remembered that when I selfchecked myself my info only appeared with my First, Last name. So I told the agency I had often used only my first and last. Apparently the bc cleared and I was offered the job.
