I applied for Bank of America Cash Rewards Credit Card and got approved for $700 credit line. I received the card couple days ago. I checked the resident alien box btw. I don't think that's much of big deal. I have no previous credit history at all. I assume the reason they approved my app was dependent on the bank relationship. I've had checking account with bofa for years. Next day I tried applying for wells fargo. Unfortunately, my checking account with wells fargo had negative balance which they told me resolve before applying. I'm pretty sure I would have been approved for one at wells fargo if it weren't for that negative balance. I hope this helps.

I went to the IRS a couple weeks ago and had to answer some questions for my tax form. We established I am a resident alien. No DACA, no SSN, not even an ITIN yet. She said, if I´m in the US continiously for more than a tax year I´m considered a resident alien. Legal status doesn´t matter.
