No I don't believe you need a permit to shot at a gun range. The problem again is you are no legally allow to own a gun. Borrows a friend's gun and shot away.

You don't need a fire arm permit. I always go to the shooting range in Artesia.

You just need an ID. I like shooting the .44 caliber revolver.

There's a range like 10 minutes from my house. I've been wanting to go but haven't had the chance.

How were you able to buy a gun?

You can buy a gun legally from a gun show or maybe a pawn shop with just your license.

As long as you aren't planning on carrying it around and possibly get caught with it, the feds would never know you have it. Right?

However, if you do get caught with a gun, prepare to get deported

I found this, which is quite interesting.
https://bulk.resource.org/courts.gov....04-20094.html

It's about a person with TPS, but as we all know, DACA and TPS are basically the same thing, just granted through different manners.

Anyways, this man entered the country illegally, then about a year later or so, he filed for TPS. He was granted TPS and an EAD. He then obtained a Texas Commissioned Security Officer Card issued by the State of Texas using a fake social number. He then purchased a 9mm handgun to use at his job as a security guard.

On June 8, 2003, as a result of an ongoing investigation of private security firms employing and arming illegal aliens as security guards in the Houston area, federal and local law enforcement agents encountered Orellana while he was working outside a Houston nightclub. He was carrying his Taurus 9mm handgun, and upon demand presented his Texas Commissioned Security Officer Card. The agents took Orellana into custody. After waiving his constitutional rights, Orellana admitted that he had entered the United States illegally, and that he had obtained his Commissioned Security Officer Card using a false Social Security Number. Orellana also informed the agents that he had obtained an Employment Authorization Document and had been granted TPS as a citizen of El Salvador.

Long story short, it was ruled that TPS constitutes as having some sort of a legal status, therefore he wasn't charged with anything and was found innocent of "possessing a firearm while being an alien "illegally or unlawfully in the United States."
