You also receive other statements from other areas of income like interest on your bank accounts, Paypal income etc.

You will also get important stuff that gives you more money back like tuition payment statements etc.

You basically take all of these things to your tax guy, and they will set you up by filing form 1040 and/or other forms if necessary...they mostly do all the complex work, you just have to bring all the proper paperwork to them so they are able to do your taxes.
Thanks. Very Helpful information.

I'm using the free TurboTax online system, though I might also just buy the $20 software that they have for individuals.

Keep all your tax documents. W-2s are from your employers; 1098-Ts are from your school; and I believe the 1099-INT is from your bank for interest payments. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the last one.

And do we need to change our ITN number with our SSN number? If so, how do we do that?

If you mean for tax purposes, yes you will need to use your SSN now (do not use your ITIN).

To go about doing that, just give your tax guy your SSN along with your W2 etc. or if you are doing it yourself then just input the SSN wherever necessary.

If you are talking about retiring your ITIN, because you now have a SSN, then you can send a letter to IRS asking them to revoke the ITIN (there is a topic on DAP here where someone posted a sample letter), or you can just ignore the ITIN and just never use it again and maybe IRS automatically revokes it at their own leisure. (I believe this method is OK, because I do not think your ITIN conflicts with your SSN)

BTW, my employer just received my W2 and gave it to me.

The envelope even came set up so the employer could just drop it in a mail box and it would have been sent to my home address.
