I see a lot of people with AMEX. I really am thinking of applying for an AMEX card. Can anyone give me some details on how they like it?

I am thinking of getting the BLUE cash everyday.

I have very good credit right now, can anyone (if you want) tell me what their credit score was when they applied? I only have Discover right now, and I would like my next card to be AMEX.

I heard they are hard to get, but I see a lot of you with AMEX cards so it cant be that hard right?

I can only have one. I set the limit for 500 dollars. I can't control myself if given too much power.

Since I got the 'store card', I didn't have a problem (you shouldn't either). However, since their 'rewards VISA card' is given by Chase, you might have problems there (if you don't have credit I wouldn't recommend applying for it).

At first my store card credit limit was low (I think $500 or something like that) but since I tend to buy a lot from Amazon.com and use the store card, my credit is not over $3,000.00 (which came in nicely because I really did need a laptop for school).

EDIT: By the way, take advantage of their 0% APR if you plan on buying expensive things.

There is a forum I read on Amazon, that people have been having lots of issues with the Store Card. From getting approved, then having the card denied when they call a Rep to not being able to make a payment. I would be careful with that card.

Here is the link if you would like to read on it:

I've been with them for a couple of months now and have not had a problem (yet). The card is given through GE Financial, so you do have to go to a different website to submit payments, but that would be the only 'issue' I would have with it.

Capital One and Chase have both denied my applications (ITIN), I'm surprised you got such a good credit limit.

People complain about everything, I'm sure I won't have a problem.
