I don't feel bad for that idiot and none of us should. A lot of us are in worse situations than he was but you don't see us going around killing people.

Really, what reasoning did they use to justify that claim?

there was a study that traced the origin of AIDS in the U.S. from an Haitian immigrant in the 1960s. The Haitian had immigrated to the U.S. and brought the disease into America, supposedly after contracting it from possible contact with Central Americans. Alilosers are saying that the Haitian came into the U.S. illegally because if he/she had immigrated legally, then a medical screening process as required by immigration law would have prevented the Haitian from entry.

Never mind the fact that no one knew about AIDS or the HIV virus till the late 1980s or the fact that the immigration medical screening process doesn't involve a blood test but just a physical.

Alilosers aren't interested in facts or the truth, just remote anecdotes that support their agenda. If they tried hard enough, they could probably blame us for Kennedy's assassination.

Most Haitians in that period came to the country legally because we were encouraging them to come here.

^I don't think that's true for the particular period that the study talked about. As far as I know immigration from Haiti was not seen as favorable in that time. This was during a severe crisis and the study didn't draw any conclusions about anybody's status - they simply indicated that it was plausible that it was a Haitian immigrant because the strain traveled through there from that one original area of Africa. It could've very well been an American aid worker who traveled to Haiti.

The bottom line is that speculation on the subject is bs. It's only our fault that we're letting these people propagate this stupid misinformation.

Nah, it was in the seventies that that started. During the late fifties and sixties about 27,000 came every year. But you're right, it shouldn't matter. They just want to think that immigrants brought all the diseases. And they're right...in 1492.

The most bigoted site on the web even said it was a flight attendant who often went to Haiti. Not necessarily a Haitian immigrant that bought AIDS to the US.

Besides, who cares. It's a horrible disease and no one intentionally brought it here. I'm sure they paid the ultimate price though.
