Dilemma, please help - Page 2

I'm hoping i Don't hear back for a while. Work agreed to let me go on a trip next week but they are keeping an eye on my case status. They want me back as soon as i get the card. How can i deliberately delay it?

My HR department actually called Senator Blumenthal's (D-CT) office to find out about my EAD. It has been approved but it continues to show as "card being produced." So I spoke to one of Blumenthal's staffers and I think he's going to pull through for me. If not, it seems like they want to send me on admin leave. I actually feel very very special for my HR department to be doing this for me.

My HR is being supportive too but my project manager is not being understanding. We came to a compromise. He's going to keep an eye on my case status and call me up as soon as it shows "delivered" or whatever. But fuck it, I just booked everything. Kauai here I come!

Because i agreed I'd cut my vacation short in the event that my permit arrived. I didn't think it would happen.

Now, had i been in Hawaii already, I'd refuse to go back. But my project manager got a hold of it yesterday so i don't want to risk losing my job. I never thought he'd be such an asshole about it and actually ask me to come back.

I even shaved my butt for this trip...

For comparison below is my timeline. Note that my case status did not show the card went into production at all, and when I called about it the rep also said he did not see it go into production yet on his side, however, 5 days later on the 25th I got an update saying the card had been mailed to my address on the 24th and gave me a tracking #. Looks like the system is just massively delayed in general, or just not being updated correctly but everything behind the scenes seems to be running regardless.

*I call USCIS and talk to a tier 1 officer to look into why my card has not gone into production. The rep said "i see your card has not yet gone into production, I will open a case to have the team responsible start production on your card"

What in the world? You gave them your case status number? WHY?!?! That's personal and no one but you (or your lawyer if you have one) should have that information. Pleas e be careful guys, don't reveal so much information .
