politicians say what they have to say to get those votes and he knew that would get all his racist supporters hyped up to vote for him. Tell me about it. my boss is an immigrant Filipino and the others were born in Texas of Mexican descent and they are "very religious/christians" who voted for TRUMP because he is not racist and US needs something different....makes me want to quit and go elsewhere

Trump won on "Build The Wall". Axing DACA is a thousand times easier than pushing CIR through.

As it stands, every one here needs to make a plan B. Right now.

Everyone is on extremely shaky ground that has been promising to collapse for months... and for some reason people keep saying "it won't give".

Stop drinking the kool-aid and start protecting yourself.

Are we losing our work permits right away or until they expire?

I'm not sure, and I don't think any one else is either. Depends how Trump wants to do it. Or if he doesn't.

I've held a belief that Trump doesn't mean 90% of what he says. But I'm not willing to risk DACA over that belief.

I agree it's easier but we'll have to wait and see what he does. Plan B can't be no other than going back to the shadows.

My plan B is country of origin. How many of us here are from a place with rampant human rights abuse and little to no access to health and education? How bad can it be that living in the shadows with no control of one's own fate and no legal right to take care of themselves is some how better?

This is depressing after passing CPA Exam and getting a job and building my career, suddenly DACA will be taken away and I will lose my job. In the case of DACA lives on then it will be great news but unlikely to happen as what Trump proposes to do on immigration.

Plan B will be pursuing my master's degree which will take me 2 years to complete and back to the shadow of not being able to work! This is truly heartbreaking. Lord have mercy on us!

Even if we are stripped of DACA, we won't completely go back to the shadows. We at least have a SSN which allows us to do so much more than if we went back to having nothing, even with the loss of authorization to work.
