Excuse my ignorance...we can travel with just your passport?! They won't check for the entrance stamp? My husband didn't qualify for DACA so it's always been a bummer how we can new travel anywhere without having to drive 20 hours lol.

I am thinking about traveling to AZ in February, but I'm worried that Trump will rescind DACA and all the benefits before that once he's in the office this Friday. I know tha along with DACA comes our driving privileges. So if Trump gets rid of DACA, then we essentially lose our right to drive. But it's still a valid form of ID (going to a bar, or flying domestically)?

My question: do you think I would be able to fly (leave WA and come back) with my license still even if Trump gets rid of DACA? Are there any risks?

Thanks in advance.
First of all, its not like all the rules have all of a sudden changed. Its going to take a lot of time. You only need an ID to travel domestically. Nobody can ask you for shit. DACA has nothing to do with traveling domestically. A lot of citizens themselves don't have those new verified ID's whatever they call them. You lose the right to drive once your Drivers license expires. DACA isn't about giving you a drivers license. It's a temporary act of prosecutorial discretion. The answer to your question is Yes, you are able to fly within the U.S. We all are. DO NOT use your passport to travel within the U.S. Why the hell would you do that? Your risk of being asked additional questions by TSA will shoot up drastically. Why use your passport when all you need is a damn drivers license lol. Think about it, if I travel just from New York to LA and chose to show the people my Kenyan passport, with the way things are going I wouldn't be surprised if TSA tells me to step aside.

If you wanna be safe, then have your passport handy, too.

Point is, you shouldn't feel uncomfortable about traveling domestically.

When my DACA expired, I had to fly home from Maryland to Los Angeles. I was deathly terrified at the TSA line, but they just looked at my California license and sent me on my way. Just as they had done many times before.
Yes, and to add to this even among the general public, not everyone has the verified Real ID type of Drivers licenses. In Connecticut, my ID says "Not for federal identification." Many other citizens have this same ID but its up to them to go get a verified one whereas I am not eligible for that. I've traveled countless number of times all over the U.S.

Thanks! It makes me feel a lot better traveling in a couple weeks now. Especially after these past couple days including today when they said that DACA isn't a high priority compared to the border wall and those with criminal records.
