Canada is not just for U.S. citizens. Many H-1B workers in the U.S. will qualify for Express Entry. DACA participants with college degrees and several years of work experience may be good candidates for Express Entry as well. DACA status is no bar to applying for Canadian immigration, and you would not need to leave the U.S. until your case is actually approved.

I consulted with lawyers at my company, they said yes at the beginning and then they said they were not sure once they researched what DACA was. The DACA work experience may not have been obtained while being legally in the US. You need at least 1 year of experience for it to count. Best bet would be to go back to your home country for a year, get that experience and then move to Canada.

Lol it says they don't have anything for me. I did the little questionnaire test to establish a business over there.

Even if they don't count our experience here, those of us who can find job there can start with work visa there if we are admissible. The worst case for us in this ideas is we might be inadmissible because of visa overstay or illegal entry here. I'd really like to consult an attorney on this.

We have permission from US government to work, so hopefully they would count it. The point of the work experience is they want immigrants that won't be a burden, so I don't see why it shouldn't count.

Again, that work experience " must have being gained while being legally" in the US. We are not here legally. Does not hurt to try tho.

I knew something pre-DACA that was able to count work experience while being here undocumented, so I think it is possible.

The laws in Canada changed a year ago. Good luck tho, we should both try our luck anyways. I'm going to apply to both Canada and Australia. Hopefully one sticks.
