We were originally going to use AP to visit my grandma, so the lawyer had told us we would need my mom's birth certificate in order to prove that is my grandma.
i understand but my mothers birth certificate clearly showed my grandmas name but they still asked me for proof. so i actually had to get my grandmas birth certificate in order to show the relationship. i understand your point and a lot of things don't make sense to us but to officers they want to see actual proof with pictures. after dealing with lawyers what i have learned dont bring only what they ask you. get as much as you can from a-z. because you dont want to wait months and then they ask you for more proofs.

Hi!
I am planning on submitting AP app this coming week once I have received all of my supporting docs. Can anyone help and let me know if this will be enough for approval? I am planning on traveling back home (MEXICO) to visit my father who isn't doing well, and have not seen in almost 20years.

APPLICATION PACKET:
- Application
- Application Fee
- Proof of DACA
- Letter of medical diagnosis from doctor
- Medical Records (hospital/clinic)
- Letter explaining visit
- Birth Certificate (Self)
- Birth Certificate (Father)
- Passport (self)
- Passport (Father)
- Parents Marriage license
- Passport Photos

I am hoping this is more than enough. I have a clean record and nothing to worry about coming up from a background check.
Is this too much? Also, are the photos necessary or just a just in case basis? Hoping to have dates for end of May has anyone been approved this early? Also, for an expedited on an AP case would I have to visit a USCIS office for that? I am filing as self and then submitting my AOS after my return!

Any help would be GREAT!

Thank you in advance!

We received the letter today. USCIS didn't request father's identification. They just need another letter from the doctor.

Thats awesome! Can I ask if you sent in medical records or just a letter from a doctor stating his condition?

Just sent in an official letter from the doctor stating his diagnosis and how it would be beneficial for his dad to see him.

Did yours get transferred to the Nebraska center? That's why it might be taking long.
