Gen.Kelly as DHS secretary and now ex-DHS Sec.Napolitano are right: Congress needs to resolve status for all childhood arrivals.

Congress members know this and have set up the stage with four DreamAct versions: Graham and Durbin's DreamAct 2017; Hope Act; RAC Act; and the House equivalent of Senators Graham and Durbin's bill- DreamAct 2017. These are fair, comprehensive, bills that help children, those left out of DACA, current DACA holders, workforce members, and it will result in full potential to benefit this country.

Don't allow special interests in the non-profit organizations to manipulate our communities.

DreamAct on its own has only been introduced once: in 2010 and it was a shit bill. The other DA versions were bundled into CIR legislation in 2007, 2013.

This is a second chance that should not be squandered.

This would be the ideal. However, if bridge act passes I won't be upset either. That bill would allow even hardliners to explain to their constituents they voted for it, but it was not amnesty.

We can do better. We can make progress from DACA and pass the DreamAct.

Dude, have you seen how gridlocked Congress is? DREAM Act would be ideal, but I don't see that happening. GOP controls everything right now, and they're slowly making their way further right.

But in 1986 congress passed the law where all illegal immigrants were legalized.

The problem with that legislation is that there was barely any enforcement to prevent newcomers and many people took advantage of this system. Thus, many people cite this failure as a reason to not grant another pathway to legalization because they fear the same thing will occur again.
