Sounds about right really. Wireless plans are designed to be used with cellphones mainly for email and any other text-only related matters where the average message is only a few kilobytes large (1 megabyte = 1024 kilobytes.) Bandwidth is a lot more expensive over the air than say something like wired Cable or DSL which goes directly straight to your house. So hooking up your computer to get online using a limited plan is just asking for trouble. If you're not in a contract and t-mobile is available in your area go with them. I've got unlimited email and web with them for just $6 a month, and albeit the service is a bit slow, for text-only related matters it works perfectly fine.

Also just because you don't download and upload any movies it doesn't mean that any other programs aren't using data to do their own thing. Like already mentioned, windows update and anti-virus programs constantly run and download updates. I'm surprised you only downloaded 15megs really. Pictures also are a big bandwidth drain. Take a second look at dap, it MAY look like it's almost a text-only site, but see those smilies, those 'edit', 'quote', 'post reply' buttons? See those avatars and signatures? That logo on the top? They're all pictures and everything adds up real quick. If you're planing on using Verizon as your main access to the net spring for an unlimited account. You'll be paying a whole lot more at the end of the month for all those overage charges.

ok I hate window update now. D:

I called At&t, and it seemed good because wireless is the same price as regular, but it's only within the house. oh well, i might just have to suck it up and use a key map for my job.
