What I want to know is why are the democrats knowingly trying to force a vote when we have no border security attached to it which clearly helps in terms of ultimately getting it signed by the president ?? This looks like total bafoonarie smh

Maybe they are hoping the momentum leads the senate to take it on knowing border security can be added on. Right now, it feels like so many members of congress want to help us, but they can't agree on how. It's a mess af

I think it's partly a hail mary. This bill would pass both House and Senate. I think if they can pass a clean DA, then Democrats retain all of their leverage.

Besides, the hope is the Senate will debate a similar bill and they can add border security provisions in committee. Regardless, it'll be more likely to end up on the President's desk if the House passes it first.

Edit: I think the president is flexing, but he won't veto. Also how crazy would it be if congress over rided a president's veto. shit would be cray

With the way the House is, I still cannot believe people want a clean dream act or CIR when Republicans have made it clear a clean dream act will not pass. For fuck sake.

There were pro-Immigration groups in D.C in Capitol Hill today calling for Clean Dream Act. Pelosi and Durbin already said is naive that will happen so idk the play here, maybe not concede too much too early

He isn't signing the discharge petition though. He just endorsed the Dream Act.
