It happens. I think it's important to vett any chick that you are considering a relationship with. If the chick has a Michael Kors/Coach bag or any of that garbage, that raises an eye brow, but I don't necessarily stop seeing them. If we go on a date, I make sure I say - I got the first round, you get the second. If she doesn't comply, you respectfully excuse yourself from the date.

Yesterday i told her straight up that she needs to pay me back and she was like, OK be that way. I felt so bad for saying it like that but goddamn I'm so tired of this.

Yesterday she told me to pay for something and i joked that i won't because she owed me money and she took it badly and got really angry and gave me the $400 and made me feel really bad about it. Then we went to ikea to buy her furniture and i ended up having to pay for her shit with the $400 after all. So not only did she make me feel like an asshole, i did not even get my money back. I'm so fucking done with her.
