So sorry! ALWAYS make copies! Like someone said, hope you have your mailing receipt showing you sent it before Oct 5th originally.

Make a copy of the mailing receipt in case it blurs out.

Same thing happened to me but mine was returned because I sent in thew wrong amount the first time so I sent in a personal check for the $30 I was missing. I received the packet yesterday and it was rejected. The first stamps on the forms were September 22nd 2017. I sent in the forms again with the correct amount plus the bright green paper that said that once I fixed the issue I coul place this paper on top of my packet and re submit. I did so, and I just received my rejection notice.

Did you make copies of the green paper? You should probably get a lawyer involved and resubmit.

Out of curiosity, why did you guys send your paperwork at the last minute?

Hmm it could be USCIS is taking a hard line stance on 'properly filed applications' by Oct. 5th. At the same time if this were the case, why return the package with the green sheet as if they are not allowing re-submissions?

What do you mean at the last minute? I sent it in on September 6th. They stamped my forms until September 22nd. And sent them back to me and I got them on October 5th.
