For Fs sake, attach DA and border security BOTH to the omnibus

None of this working group BS matters

These GOP mfers are trying to make Dems forfeit their omnibus leverage by providing false hope

That's what I say.

"You want to fund the government? Well, we want CHIP funding, the DREAM Act, etc..."

It's simple.

These statements are a joke because we have heard them all before. Attach DreamAct to the spending bill.

No continuing resolution.

Budget bill with CHIP, DreamAct.

Let's not forget Curbelo didn't co sponsor dream act, but he says he will sign it if it came for a vote I hope he doesn't have an agenda.

You jest, but I have yet to hear or see a Central American TPS recipient defend and advocate for Dreamers, Mexican (mostly) immigrants who were given deferred action under prosecutorial discretion, or refugees. Most I have met have had the attitude you see with Cubans.

But I don't wish them exile and insecurity - which is what it comes down to when one gets depirted after a lifetime in the U.S.

You're generalizing a region with 7 countries. Most of the people who descended there and/or migrated to the US whether on TPS or not do not hate Mexicans or DACA recepients. They support the cause, however, i do agree that there are some outliers that do not. Other than Mexico, 3 Central American countries hail as the top countries of DACA recepients.

Same can be said with the Cubans. The main ones that are super conservatives are the older ones who witnessed the brutalities of communism and lost everything in Cuba which forced them to flee to the USA. The newer Cuban immigrants don't have that attitude and are mostly Democratic.

Bottom lines is that generalizations are bad and ignorant. That's like me saying that all Mexican immigrants refuse to assimilate and show 0 patriotism to the USA which is not true at all.

@bad.bunny:

I did not generalize - I clearly stated *I* have not heard or seen over my 28 years in the U.S. a Central American TPS group organize in support of other groups. If your experience has been different, great!

I am aware of geographic regions, hence my explicit example of *TPS* recipient Central American populations *in the US*.

Lastly, I did not say they hate Mexicans - I stated that they hold contempt, like Cubans *I* have heard and met about Mexicans, which is ironic considering they smuggle themselves through Mexico.

Actually most not all central Americans hate Mexicans.

That is false, I'm Honduran and I do not despise Mexicans nor do any of my friends or family back in my home country. The only ethnic group with roots in Central America that dislike Mexicans are Salvaodrans but that's because of some petty rivalry and not all of them are like this.
