Or be willing to shut the government down. I don't think the GOP believes Dems will shut the government down over this.

O'Malley said the wall is unnecessary and said the president has a history of "scapegoating" immigrants like those coming from Mexico.

But, he said that building a wall as Trump intends is small ball compared to his party's wish to give DACA recipients the ability to live freely in the country.

"I don’t think the people of the country believe that [the wall] is needed... But having to say that, if the trade-off for some legislators is that you have to accept Donald Trump’s obsession with his big wall, given the stable genius that he is, in order to make 800,000 people secure in their citizenship in the United States, I think that’s a morally-defensible trade-off," O'Malley, a 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, said.

Trump's tax plan treats our children’s country like a weak hotel chain — he can’t stop himself from sucking the last cash out of it for his family and friends before driving it into bankruptcy.

Don’t be distracted by Trump’s attacks on the free press. Fight the tax bill. Don’t let them bankrupt America.

He said Democrats' main concern with Trump's wall is the "thinly-veiled racism" that it allegedly implies.

When challenged on the point by the "Fox & Friends" hosts, given that Democrats have approved previous sections of border fences, O'Malley said Trump's history of disparaging illegal immigrants makes the situation different.

"Democrats don't want to be complicit in that," O'Malley, a former Baltimore mayor, said.

He also responded to remarks by former Vice President Joe Biden, saying he could "take" former Gov. Howard Dean (D-Vt.) over Dean's comment that elderly Democrats should let a new generation lead the party.

Oh, he means capitulating as Bill Clinton did by enacting laws that crimminalized people seeking safe and better lives?

Just go away.

Top Dem on Hse Homeland Security Cmte Thompson on GOP/DACA: These demands are non-starters for Democrats & only show us that the President is not acting in good faith. The American people overwhelmingly agree that legalization and citizenship for Dreamers is the right thing to do
@ChadPergram

And here is a Dem that will fuck it up. We have to apply pressure to make sure they make a deal!
And does anyone know who this Thompson person is?

As long as they are willing to shut down the government fine. However, if they won’t shut down the government or give some money for the wall so we can have Peace of mind , then they are just as bad as Trump.

Exactly. The questions is say the Dems did give some money for the wall, is this really where it ends? Or will the GOP then insist on other concessions as well?

what fucking racism? im tired of hearing this bullshit.
you know what is actually racism?
keeping a group of people in a country as essentially second-class people for almost two fucking decades with no solution in site for them.
that's actual fucking racism.
that's segregation to a tee.
that's borderline slave labor.
what's a wall gonna do in comparison??

if ANYTHING, the wall is symbolic as an attempt to stop all of this.
