Remember when DHS issued the 3 year permits and later made them invalid? Thy could do that with our permits again, but I doubt it. It would be cruel

Precedent shows they process pending applications.

This is misinformation that I’ve seen many posters unknowingly spread on this forum. The 3 year permits that were recalled were ONLY those issued after the court ruling. Others got to keep their 3 year permits if they got it before the ruling.

That is a good observation. I hope they grandfather the applications being processed if that is the case. Everything is kind of up in the air hence why I think it is EXTREMELY important that everyone sends their renewal applications ASAP.

It will be way too early for me to renew now since I still have 1.5 year left. Hopefully this thing drag out in court so I can send mine in at the end of June. What do you guys think? Wait or send my renewal in?

Ooof...I dunno...

My thinking is, if you send it in now...and it takes like 6 months to renew it...you only lost 1 year...but you get a new 2 year cycle leading you into the 2020 Presidential election.

IMO, I would send it in, instead of testing your luck on 1.5 years and then renewing for the 2 more years later on...if it works out that way, it would be much more beneficial for you, sure...but you just cannot trust this White House and the swamp that surrounds it.

I truly hope renewals won't take too long (won't hold my breath), but they need to remember there are people who weren't able to submit their renewals
until now and are expiring within the next couple of months.

Do you think they will reject my application for sending in way too early?

This is not a good analogy. Those 3 year work permits were allowed to be kept so long as they were approved before the court ruling. The ones after were asked to be returned. If Court rules while your application is still pending then I fear they might not approve it. Sorry, I don't mean to be negative, I just have a legitimate concern. Either way, this is no excuse to send your renewal. Don't care how far out from expiring you are, send it in!
