I don't think the I601A can cure an inadmissibility like the permanent bar.

Thanks. It's a huge risk I'm taking. Like many others on here I didn't qualify for DACA, and I've been patiently waiting to see if something is gonna happen, but it has gotten to the point where something has to give.

Why do people keep calling DACA the DREAM ACT?

DACA is DREAM Act lite and based on its requirements.

But it sure doesnt give DACA recipients DREAM Act benefits.

News organizations should learn immigration terms and the immigration laws governing us.

It goes to show that as much as we are "popularized " (>80% of public), the whole debate is still not wholly understood.

I think most Trumpers have no idea what a permanent resident card is.

There is the old saying that possession is 9/10th of the law and the same is true for immigration where presence is 9/10th of the law. If you're still in the US, you can fight, even if you don't have a good chance of winning. Once you leave, you pretty much have no chance.

Tell me about it...I'm going to be faced with a very difficult choice in a few months. If I had DACA, it'd be a lot less scary.

Id adjust under trump admin, all 8 years of it.

Also, why is the most important fact at the end. Bad writing is a deportable offense.

The thing about the waiver is it somewhat comes down to the discretion of the adjudicating officer at your "home" consulate which is incredibly scary. When you're in your 20s it's easy to say you won't take the chance but once you hit 35 and congress still keeps jerking around you really have to weigh if not "taking a chance" is still worth it. Truth is that answer is going to be different for everyone depending on where you come from, family dynamics(married, children), ease of adjust-ability in your "home' country etc...
