He's a troll. Or one of those self loathing dreamers. I haven't figured out which yet.

If you feel this way. I can only imagine how radical those pushing the abolish idea are.

That doesnt mean we dont need them now. I think we need their customs enforcement. If anything removal of their immigration enforcement might be key.

Though knowing repubs, they'll probably remove ICE and assign those duties and the ICE budget to border patrol.

edit: removed uncalled for, idiots know they are idiots.

The immigration problem hasn't changed in 20 years, we'd do just fine w/border patrol.

ICE has turned into the gestapo post 9/11/01 going after long time "residents" that are easier to find.

Looks like the data shows youre right. Wondering why the Mexican share has decreased so much.

To be fair almost all of us agree we are in violation of the law, and wish for a chance to make things right.

I caution against linking things to gestpo or nazi germany. The gestapo was chasing down jews for entirely different reasons than the ICE is chasing us. Most importantly we are not getting sent to death camps, but in some situations sent to perfectly fine and normal nations with corruption comparable to american corruption.

Because the financial situation in Mexico is much much better these days to the point where people are actually moving back rather than trying to make a life here. I have college friends that willingly moved back to Mexico after working in professional jobs in the US because their outlook there was better.
