People keep saying there won’t be a DACA decision until Spring 2019, but can’t the courts give a preliminary injunction like they did with DAPA until there is a final ruling?

If I’m expiring soon I would apply right away, because I don’t see this issue playing out until Spring 2019. Specially with Hansen ruling soon.

Thank you, I will try. Let us hope you are right.

I'm not sure exactly where you are located but here are my stats:

I applied in September ( expired on 10/18/18 )
Got my Bio metrics within a week
Got acceptance letter like 3 days later
Got my EAD.

All in all it took like 2-3 weeks for everything after I sent it in. I'm not sure if they improved the system or what but it seems to be going a lot faster.. unless they are prioritizing those who are about to expire first. I sent mine to the Chicago Lockbox Facility as I'm located in MA.

Edit: Before anyone comments why I waited so long..... Money.

Best of luck to you friend.

Congratulations.. I’m located in Florida and my application was sent to the Dallas lockbox facility. I’m within 160 days of expiration. Hopefully everything goes well.

A preliminary injunction at this point in time, six years after DACA was implemented, is absurd. Especially since Hanen didn't give Texas a preliminary injunction this summer.

"This Court heard oral argument in the case on May 15," wrote DOJ attorney Mark Stern on Wednesday. "We respectfully write to inform the Court that, in order to ensure review by the Supreme Court during its current Term, we intend to again petition the Supreme Court for writ of certiorari before judgment to review the district court's preliminary injunction order."
Stern said the goal is for the Supreme Court to consider the issue before the current term ends in June 2019 and cited the injunction that has blocked the phase out across the entire nation.

Great news!

This puts pressure on both sides to reach a compromise.

Can't wait.
