Wrong! If he really wanted to cut a deal that includes DACA and border wall, then he could have said something like I do not want to discuss this issue until the government is open. He is out right taking us off the table. And that is what I have been saying all along. Democrats do not want to cut a deal that includes us. I honestly believe the Republicans do not want to cut a deal that includes us as well. It is just the news outlets creating a hype. Do not get sucked into it. Just pray that the Supreme court does not take up our case.

Why? Because the whole debate shifts from "Trump is throwing a temper tantrum" to "Democrats are shutting down the government because they love illegals!!!111"

The whole DACA things plays very well to the democratic base. If Schumer were to get it passed then it would help him (and the rest of the dems) a lot more than not getting it passed. After all - many dems made commitments to DACA/DREAM Act which got their base to elect them. If you can't deliver on your promises, you look weak.

In this situation the dems are trying to make Trump look weak.

He promised a wall. He promised Mexico would pay for it.

He didn't get Mexico to pay for it.
He didn't get $25B for it.
He can't get $5 for it.
He looks really weak right now.

It's considerably more important to Trump to get the wall built than it is for the Dems to get DACA passed. This means it's to the Dems' interest for Trump to come groveling to them with a sweetheart deal than it is for the Dems to mention something that will in turn make them look weak.

Also, if Trump straight up offers DACA for the wall then the Republicans can't say shit about it. That's the most important part!!!

Politics, buddy!

If anything, I will be SHOCKED if we get anything better than the Bridge Act. We will just wait and see.

Well first time I agree with you. Democrats are saying nothing because anything they say will be used against them by the propaganda machine.
