We're gonna be fine peeps.

It's not like we can be deported to a country we don't know anything about. We are practically children of this country.

Can you imagine SCOTUS declaring us US citizens ?

Furthermore, there's precedence. Eg. Children of Vietnam war. When thousands of infants were brought to America and given straight up citizenship.

DACA was in place for ~7 years. Think about it.

Maybe, if scotus were left leaning, yeah.

Our best bet is they don’t take up the case, it gets set for next term, or they take the case and rule in our favor.

Whatever the outcome, I suggest people try to squeeze one last renewal... I’m sendinng mines this week

I hope they don’t take it, but I’ll be sending mine by the end of the week, as well. Still have a year to go on my current card, but I’m willing to give it a shot.

There's just no end in sight to this waiting. Having said that I hope they don't take it or we are gonna be fucked.

Nothing we can do at this point. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Talking w labor advocates about this, it's best to pressure the parties for a final solution.

Amerasians were war children of a local mother and generally somewhat identified US soldier. In this case they mostly stretched jus sanguinis rather than just shrugged and decreed a random group to be US Citizens. Caravan children have more of a standing to be decreed US Citizens under INA 301(f) than we ever will.

Also it wasn't just decreed by the US Supreme Court, congress actually passed a bill after a few attempts https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Homecoming_Act.

Regardless girl. DACA is a unprecedented special circumstance.

We're gonna be fine. I promise.

Read up on the "Family Fairness Program" that Reagan put into place to address problem of mixed-eligibility families after IRCA 1986 passed. That was probably the biggest application of deferred action to date. George H.W. Bush kept it and eventually congress codified it as "Family Unity" in Immigration Act of 1990.
