Not worthless. Chances are it passes the house. Good enough too keep us in the political radar. All we need next is a Democratic sweep of the Senate and WH in 2020.

I'm sure a good amount of us would actually want to live in way more technologically advanced Wakanda than this racist country if Wakanda was real and accepts DACA lol.

Your name checks out for this scenario.

If the USA was racist then I don't think programs like DACA or the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 would have existed.

Even liberal countries like Germany deport so-called Dreamers despite being born in Germany all becuase their parents were illegal. ( https://www.thelocal.de/20170803/ger...er-deportation ) and don't get me started how Latin American countries treat immigrants. Have you seen how Mexicans view Honduran migrants?

even getting simple majority in Senate is difficult for Dems forget about filibuster proof. they need to flip 4 seats min even if they win POTUS election. Alabama will flip back to Red if Session or some other candidate runs in 2020. Dems have good chance to flip only in Colorado. 2020 is a presidential election and red will be as motivated as blue and most of red senate candidates are less controversial than orange buffoon. this thing will drag past 2022 if some of the Republican priorities are not included in the overall package.

"If the US was racist". I usually agree with you but damn... have you stepped outside of your house while you have been living in the US? I see examples of racism all the time and I have also being discriminated against; even thought I'm a light skinned Hispanic. Having certain immigration rules does not mean a society isn't racist. Look at Mexico, they have been very liberal with new waves of immigration lately but a ton of people are extremely racist.

Easy pass in the House and it will also clear Senate but barely depending on what changes they make. I think Dream Act/Promise Act will become the law in the upcoming months.

My statement was merely just a refutation of people accusing the US for being racist cause they won't legalize DACAers. All countries have measures to prevent illegal immigration. The US is the only country that protects the illegals that came here as children and even permits them to enroll in their public education.

Yes, I have seen instances in my life in this country that can be considered racist. However, these experiences are nothing compared to what I have seen in my home country. At least in the US, racism is seen as a bad thing and there are counter efforts and laws that outlaw such discrimination. In contrast, in most countries in Latin America, racism against their indigenous and african populace is encouraged in their media and normalized. Just look at the Mexican memes of Hondutan migrants and Yalitza Aparicio. You can literally get refused a job opportunity in some Latin countries like Mexico, Argentina, etc. just cause you look "indio" and you can't do anything about it.

In fact, I'd say that the US along with a few other first-world nations like Canada and New Zealand are way more racially tolerant compared literally the rest of the world. This isn't to say that racism in those said countries is non-existent.

Unfortunately, racism is negative attribute of human nature just like violence, lookism, sexism, ageism, ableism, bullying, etc. Humans aren't perfect and these forms of discrimination will sadly always exist. People will always judge and differentiate others. I've seen racism even on this forum against Caucasians dismissing them all as "nazi trump supporters" and even against Blacks, read my signature.
