I really hate that because of DACA, the term Dreamer has become exclusive to those who only have DACA currently and the other Dreamers, well, we're just non existent.

And no, a Foreign passport isn't considered Real ID compliant unless it has an unexpired U.S. visa affixed, and an I-94 indicating temporary evidence of permanent residence.

Just went to get my license in NY. Was told RealID I need to be a green card holder.

Should've called the manager. Workers are not familiar with DACA. Based on few stories on reddit, I know we are eligible to get it in NY. I haven't tried it myself, but many people were able to get it.

This is not true. Real ID compliant refers only to state issued IDs. The TSA will continue to accept other acceptable forms of IDs. See here: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-...identification

I have a state ID that says "not valid for federal purposes" only because my state allows undocumented people to drive. It is a curse and a blessing. I cannot enter a federal building and I cannot travel domestically with this ID. It cannot be changed to "Real ID". Only people with Daca and an unexpired visa will be allowed to travel domestically. You will no longer be able to use your foreign passport with an expired visa to travel.

And, IamAman is correct. The term Dreamer now exclusively belongs to daca people because of Obama's arbitrary cut off date and everyone else is screwed. I can only laugh at this point since almost everyone under daca would now be too old to apply and y'all woukd have been aged out. The irony.

No you guys are not correct. Not sure where you are getting this information. Show me a government website that says that foreign passports with no visas will no longer be accepted? I travel using my passport with no visa on it all the time.

Absolutely this. 99% of people with daca are above 30 now. All it takes for any relief bill to screw daca is have a age exclusion for anyone over 30 and bam

You can travel with a foreign passport. Green card holders also use their foreign passport because they do not have a blue passport. And no, they do not always carry their green card.
