The big takeaway from this sh*tshow is that the extremist right-wing will control the house as long as the GOP is in power. That is only about 40 out of 222 reps.

The party of minority rule, suddenly doesn't like being ruled by a minority.

“ McCarthy opposed efforts to codify the legal status of DREAMers after Trump suspended Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which provided temporary stay for undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as minors. McCarthy opposed efforts to codify the DACA protection because he thought it would depress turnout among the Republican base in the 2018 elections. According to Politico, it was thought a DACA-type bill could have also undermined McCarthy's chances of becoming House Speaker after Paul Ryan retired from Congress, as it would have made it harder for him to attract the support of hard-line conservatives.”

So yeah, fuck him! Let the shit show go on!

Even if he gets elected, he will get kicked out even if he sneezes in front of jim jordan, lol.

Hopefully moderate republicans step up and join the dems to choose someone more moderate that is sympathetic to our cause.

They still raked him over the coals and weakened him. We now know that 20 far-right members in the house have all the power and will use it to gain what they want. Essentially, all other GOP have to obey them or else.

McCarthy needs some public get back or he will have 0 respect from everyone there.

Clearly the hard right does not care about caos, they don't care how bad they look as long as they get their way and I doubt that they are going to give a sh!t about the daca population if/when hanen/scotus ends it. Even if Mccarthy brings a bill up for a vote, the hard right will kick him out and kill the bill
