Republicans are asking for permanent immigration changes so they can bypass the votes required - if that is the case, and Biden, Durbin, Schumer have said they are waiting for votes, NOW THEY HAVE AN OPENING TO MOVE THE REGISTRY DATE AND INCLUDE IT.

Both sides have agreed to keep dreamers and paths ways to citizenship out of the bill but reports are that the bill is still on life support even with our exclusion.

I see any of the immigration groups up in arms fighting to have us included .. I guess they like that we will continue to depend on them to represent us... and will gladly accept our money...

This is the last chance for anything to be done for a long time.

So Politico is reporting that Republicans are asking for new expulsion authority under title 42, expedited removal authority *nationwide*, and to violate immigrant's civil liberties - TRUMP policies that Dems are considering.

Durbin, Schumer and Biden are obsessed with giving billions to war, the same billions they collect from undocumented workers and families. Biden claims that only Congress can change things, but over the weekend he went around Congress and voters' say to send hundreds of thousands of weapons to Israel. There is an opening right now for the Senate to finally address immigration reform and they have the ability to add registry or an essential workers bill to the legislation.

Unfortunately, there is no opening. Several earlier reports state that the GOP and Dems agreed to keep dreamers out of negotiations since it would complicate issues. GOP said any bill with pathways to citizenship would be DOA in the house and Dems agreed. We are excluded from these immigration talks

We are not asking if they want to include legalization; we asking why they are not including it since right now they have the leverage and an opening to do so. Corruption? Chicago Tribune, MSNBC, NYTimes, etc, all can see the opening to finally reform the system and are calling it out on their pages.

My point is that as constituents, you can and should contact your reps to ask that they fix this issue.

In my opinion, the easiest win would be to attach the registry date adjustment.... but given the history that we have been through and the fact that Dem's new priority is Ukraine and not actual Americans/Immigrants... I'd doubt we will get anything.

Man, I am beyond pissed off about this. They're giving away immigration enforcement and not getting a single immigration relief out of this. The only thing they're getting is money for tanks and bombs and bombs and guns (little joke there for you Cranberries fans) for 2 other countries.
