The fact that many deny being here illegally and feel entitled for a legal status is astonishing. Don't forget denial is the first step. Cheating is also taking advantage of 'loopholes' which most of us have (or haven't), don't get me started with the AP threads.
Congratulations on not getting married. (No sarcasm involved)

You would be surprised what people are willing to do based on simple counterfactual comments. Most immigrants are not aware of this countries laws and base their decisions solely on friends and family, while heavily relying on Internet forums for guidance.

It certainly is amazing how many times an uneducated person argues facts with me based on what their idiot buddies tell him.

Oh, most know, they just ignore the fact that there are laws about it or try to get away with it because they were 'ignorant' about the laws (bs). I mean, the simplest example of them all, when people go over the expressway's (highway) speed limit. It's such a simple and 'small' thing that in the end everybody violates but people still do it.

Just to be clear, I'm against 'cheating' the system more, either by marrying just to get a green card or having kids so that people feel 'sorry' for parents and their kids (sorry, no sympathy here, and again, anybody can have children, some of us choose to wait). I know I'm sounding very hateful and angst, but it bothers me that people here support all that (again, don't get me started with AP).

I'm still waiting for my application to be processed, so many here too (and who have waited longer than me). So good luck for everybody .

i gotta some what agree with you , i also had the chance to marry for gc etc. but refused to , i said hell na , ill take my chances in mexico , i wanna say im a pretty smart kid , so that's why i refused to , sooner or later , by working hard , i knew things could turn around , they always do , its what you make of it , but thankfully daca came around , even tho i still havent been approved i remain hopefull , oh well see what happens , but taking the easy way out is not always the safest , and about having kids just to stay here i am completely against that as well , i mean nothing against the little ones and all , their great company , but kids grow up mighty quick , before you know it , their off to school and start needing this needing that , anyways hope everyone gets approved asap , this wait went from being patient to being frustrated , on a daily basis

I thought i was the only immigrant that considered himself a republican. It seems like I may not be alone.

To tell you the truth, I don't think 'labeling' people as either democrats or republicans does their ideals justice (the people's, not the parties). I try to be in the middle, I try to be unbiased and to see both sides of the situation, but I also try to use as much common sense as I can. I have in fact tended to agree with many republican policies, but the same for democrat policies.

It is difficult to be in my situation, because if I like a status on Facebook about a republican candidate, people that know me criticize me. If I like something about a democrat, same thing. People need to understand that going too far to the right or left doesn't work, what works is a combination of all types of policies and economic ideas; just look at Germany, for example.

So...you might be alone in this forum as republican (let's hope this post allows people to come out lol), but not alone in being able to 'think', to think out of the box, and to not kiss the government's buttocks just because of DACA.

I somewhat agree with your view of things but lets agree to disagree. I'm sure this conversation would go on and on and on under different circumstances. Lol

I feel like as illegals, people are tired of struggling hence why they always try to find "loopholes" and try to find ways to get out of this problem. I've been with my US Citizen bf for almost 4 years and we could very well get married right now but we aren't financially stable since we are both still in school and still in our early 20s. I refuse to marry him just to get a Green card, even though I know 80% of my problems in life will be gone. Idk I'm just waiting for my DACA approval and see how far it takes me. The wait is so depressing but something good will come out of it in the end.

We are both Children of Nebraska

Personally, I think you should've married already. I mean, getting a GC would give you more financial stability which I think would help the relationship, plus, it's been over four years, you know whether you wanna spend the rest of your life with him or not. IMO of course.
