I got a text from that same number(540-657312, and an email on the 10th, but it has not updated past card production. Should I be worried?

On August 13, 2013, we transferred your I821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

So does this mean I gotta wait 3-6 more months?! Splendid... -_-

This may be helpful to some people. 2-3 days after you've applied for your social, you can go back in and tell them you need the number quickly for a job application or college and they will write it down on a piece of paper for you before you get the hard copy in the mail.

I got the same transfer notice last week. Do you know which local office your case was transferred to? (it should say on the letter they mail to you) Mine was transferred from the CA service center to the LA local field office. Hopefully the "local" office will pick up their pace lol
